Solitaire Int'l School hosts CBSE capacity building programme
Panchkula, Sept. 16 -- Solitaire International School, Sector-20 hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on 'value education', with enthusiastic participation from teachers representing various schools across the Tricity.
Shamee Thakur, PGT commerce, DAV Senior Secondary School, Surajpur and Vaneeta Duggal, head of department (HOD) commerce, Lord Mahavir Jain Public School, Ambala, served as the resource persons.
Through engaging discussions, activities and real-life examples, they highlighted the significance of values such as integrity, empathy, respect, compassion, responsibility, discipline and perseverance in shaping well-rounded individuals.
The session emphasised that education goes beyond academic excellence and must nurture character, ethical decision-making and responsible citizenship.
The resource persons also stressed that teachers play a vital role in developing values, as students learn not only through lessons but also by observing the conduct and attitudes of their teachers.
The programme provided educators with meaningful insights and practical approaches to integrate value-based learning into everyday classroom practices, reinforcing the vision of holistic education.
