Smart Wonders School takes students for educational visit
Chandigarh, Aug. 28 -- Students of Class 8, Smart Wonders School, visited Air Force Station, 12 Wing, Chandigarh, on August 22 for an enriching and motivational exposure to the operations of the Indian Air Force.
The visit commenced with an informative presentation by IAF officers on the role and functions of 12 Wing, along with insights into the growing use of air intelligence and artificial intelligence in the Indian Air Force.
The students were also introduced to air traffic control (ATC) operations, gaining an understanding of how aircraft movements are monitored and managed safely and efficiently.
A major highlight of the visit was the students' interaction with some of the IAF's formidable aircraft. At 126 helicopter unit, they learned about the Chinook, a versatile heavy-lift helicopter used for transporting troops, equipment and supplies and supporting critical operational and humanitarian missions.
The students also explored the C-17 Globemaster 3 and IL-76, heavy-lift transport aircraft capable of carrying troops, ammunition, vehicles and other vital military equipment across long distances.
The visit provided the students with a valuable insight into the technology, precision, preparedness and operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force....
