BENGALURU, Oct. 23 -- Karnataka MLA and CM Siddaramaiah's son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday sparked a buzz by saying that his father was in the "final phase of his political life", while expressing hope that senior Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi could take up the responsibility, and be a role model who is aligned with the ideology of the Congress party. However, the Congress MLC later ruled out any talks about leadership change. "My father is now in the final phase of his political life, at the end stage of his political career. At such a time, we need a leader who can guide those who hold rational and progressive ideologies, and take charge of the leadership. Jarkiholi will take on that responsibility.
