Shishu Niketan students celebrate Janmashtami
Panchkula, Aug. 22 -- Krishna Janmashtami is a festival commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the students of ShishuNiketan Public School MDC Sec-5 celebrated Janmashtami with mirth and joy. The students came dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, playmates and friends of Krishna's childhood. They were accessorised with colourful bangles, odhnies and peacock crowns to set the Janamashtami mood. The school premises was decorated with balloons, flutes, matkies giving the vibes of festivity. The happy and excited students participated enthusiastically in dance, craft work, where they made flutes, crowns and decorated matkies. The teachers instilled the value of self worth and introspection in the students. The day was a delightful journey for the students....
