Mohali, April 24 -- The Kindergarten wing's Earth Day celebration was a masterclass in early childhood environmental education, centered on the urgent theme of "Clean Earth, Green Earth." Under the meticulous guidance of the UKG teachers, the assembly area was transformed into a vivid educational landscape, featuring a dramatic stage setup that contrasted a "cluttered" environment with a pristine, sustainable one to visually demonstrate the impact of human habits.
The teachers went beyond simple theory, engaging the children in an elaborate demonstration of waste segregation using color-coded bins and interactive props made entirely from repurposed materials like old newspapers and plastic bottles.
This hands-on approach culminated in a "Cleanliness superhero" skit, where teachers modeled daily habits-such as picking up litter and minimising plastic use-while the students participated in rhythmic chants and action songs that reinforced the practical steps of keeping their surroundings tidy.
By weaving together artistic decorations, tactile sorting games, and a solemn collective pledge to protect the planet, the assembly successfully empowered these young learners to transition from passive observers to active stewards of the environment, leaving them with the clear understanding that a clean Earth begins with their own small, daily actions....
