Sex toys, memorabilia become runway decor in Diesel show
India, Feb. 26 -- A
t the Fall/Winter 2026 runway show of Italian fashion house Diesel at Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday, the clothes weren't the only spectacle. In fact, the set itself became the headline act, in true tongue-in-cheek fashion.
The brand assembled 50,000 artefacts pulled from past Diesel shows, parties, window displays, events and offices, documenting Diesel's evolution since 1978. Sex toys were displayed, alongside branded underwear; inflatable polar bears, a giant dinosaur and other whimsical creatures mingled with plants, aliens and even a motorbike.
Against this maximalist backdrop, creative director Glenn Martens sent models down the runway in Diesel's signature codes: creased denim, grungy knits and pieces crafted from upcycled materials.
The set even included costumes once worn at founder Renzo Rosso's birthday celebrations, plus jewellery, shoes and clothing from seasons past: all combined to form a chaotic, visually arresting 'garden'.
Explaining the concept on Instagram, the brand wrote, "Nothing is discarded. Through reuse and transformation, the installation embodies Diesel's commitment to sustainability as a powerful creative process."HTC...
