Chandigarh, July 7 -- Saupin's School, Sector 32, celebrated India's glorious cultural legacy by organising a vibrant exhibition on "Mauryan and Early Gupta Period." The exhibition was inaugurated by Saurabh Joshi, mayor of Chandigarh, who lauded the school's commendable efforts in promoting initiatives which go beyond classroom learning and instill pride in India's rich heritage in the students. While interacting with students, the mayor appreciated the meticulous research, and historical understanding reflected by the young ones. The exhibition presented an impressive collection of models and sculptures depicting the architectural brilliance and artistic achievements of the Mauryan and Early Gupta periods. Parents, educators and guests appreciated the students' confidence and depth of knowledge as they explained the historical significance of each exhibit. In the last 2 years exhibitions on Mohenjo-daro and the ancient Egyptian civilisation were also showcased by the school. Principal Surita Sharma applauded the efforts of the children and the facilitators Siddharth Vaishnav and Amanpreet Singh.
