Chandigarh, July 30 -- Reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26 celebrated van mahotsav 2026 on the theme 'Healing the Earth through greener initiatives.' The programme was jointly organised by woodsia alpina - the eco club and umeed - the interact club. The celebration was graced by Nidhi Srivastava, IFS Cadre - Punjab, as the chief guest, and Teena Avninder Virk, president, Rotary Club Chandigarh, as the guest of honour. The school also had the privilege of welcoming Xavier and Stephan, whose presence added grace and spiritual significance to the occasion. Virk introduced operation shuddhi, a rotary club initiative dedicated to plastic waste recovery and recycling.
