Raksha Bandhan celebrated at DAV-8
Panchkula, Aug. 11 -- DAV-8 witnessed a week-long celebration to mark the festival of Raksha Bandhan. The celebration commenced with Poorvi of Class 5-A reciting a poem under the guidance of Parveen, their Hindi teacher. This was followed by Megha of Class 6-C, who presented a well-composed poem by Prerna Talwar, capturing the essence of sibling love and protection.
Students of Classes 6 to 8 participated in the Rakhi Making and activity, showcasing their creativity by designing exquisite rakhis using eco-friendly and vibrant materials. Their imaginative creations, guided by Balroop reflected not only artistic skills but also deep respect for Indian traditions. Students of Classes 9 to 12 participated in a Thali Decoration Competition. Guided by Anjali Awal, they exhibited creativity through intricate designs, traditional motifs, and innovative ideas that reflected festive joy and cultural pride.
The school was honoured by the presence of the principal Ritu Dilbagi, who visited all activity areas, interacted with the students and appreciated their sincere efforts. In her inspiring address, she emphasised the significance of Raksha Bandhan as a festival that not only strengthens the emotional bond between siblings but also instills a strong sense of cultural identity in young minds....
