Rains lash HP: 3 dead, 49 roads shut
Shimla/Dharamshala, July 4 -- Heavy rains continued to lash Himachal over the past 24 hours, claiming three more lives, disrupting transport and utility services and prompting fresh weather alerts from the IMD.
The latest fatalities have pushed the state's monsoon death toll to 14, while cumulative losses from rain-related damage have reached Rs.1,527 lakh.
According to officials, one person each died due to electrocution in Kangra and Shimla districts, while another person lost their life after falling from a height in Mandi district. Moderate rainfall was recorded across several parts of the state, including Shimla and Dharamshala. The highest rainfall of 3cm was reported from Baldwara, Sarahan and Bilaspur Sadar, followed by Bharari, Shimla Aero and Murari Devi, which received 2cm each.
