Jalandhar, May 21 -- The Petrol Pump Dealers' Association Punjab (PPDAP) has raised concerns over delays and disruptions in fuel replenishment at retail outlets of public sector oil marketing companies across the state, despite dealers maintaining advance payments under the "cash & carry" system. In a letter to the Punjab chief secretary, PPDAP state president Paramjit Singh said the irregular supply is causing inventory shortages and operational difficulties at several petrol pumps. He noted that while Indian Oil Corporation Limited has been managing supplies comparatively better, dealers linked with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited are facing frequent delays. The association said dealers have consistently supported oil companies and expect fair and timely supply management to avoid financial stress and disruption to consumers. Following the representation, chief secretary KAP Sinha held online meetings with district officials, oil company representatives, and civil supplies department to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability across Punjab. htc...
