India, Aug. 3 -- In an unprecedented organisational move, the Punjab BJP also revoked the appointments of several district presidents made just a week ago and announced six new district chiefs, a decision that has reportedly sparked resentment within sections of the party. The newly appointed district presidents are Sandeep Singh Brar (Faridkot), Sanjeev Manhas (Hoshiarpur Rural), Neten Gupta Nannu (Hoshiarpur Urban), Anoop Sharma (Khanna), Kuldeep Singh Bhangewala (Muktsar Sahib) and Sarjiwan Jindal (Sangrur-I). Party insiders said this is the first time a Punjab BJP president has replaced district presidents appointed by himself within a week, reflecting internal organisational adjustments ahead of the assembly polls. The appointments were approved by BJP state president Kewal Singh Dhillon with the consent of the party's national leadership.
