India, Sept. 23 -- P rabhas fans will have to wait longer for Fauzi. The actor's period action drama, which was scheduled to hit theatres on December 3, has officially been postponed, weeks after reports suggested that the film could slip into 2027. The makers are yet to announce a new release date. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who helmed the 2022 hit romantic drama Sita Ramam, the Prabhas-starrer is set against colonial-era India and revolves around a soldier, with the makers previously describing it as a story drawn from the "hidden chapters of our history". Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers confirmed the delay at the pre-release event of Nani's big-ticket Telugu action thriller The Paradise on Monday, saying that the additional time would go into mounting Fauzi on a bigger scale. The film also stars Imanvi Esmail opposite Prabhas, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada. It marks Prabhas' first collaboration with Raghavapudi. "Fauzi is being pushed back a little bit, but it's a next-level movie. You haven't seen brother Prabhas look so grand since Baahubali. It's a movie of that scale. However, small sorry that we are pushing it back a bit. You will cherish it for a lifetime. It's such a massive and great movie," he said. The December release would have put Fauzi in the same box-office window as Naga Chaitanya's Vrushakarma and Dulquer Salmaan's Sri Sri, both currently slated for December 4. HTC...
