Chandigarh/Mullanpur, March 3 -- The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will conduct elections for the post of secretary on March 21. The announcement was made through an official election notice issued by former state election commissioner and retired IAS officer Jagpal Singh Sandhu, who has been appointed as the electoral officer for the process. The election will be conducted through secret ballot, and proxy voting on behalf of individual members will not be permitted. Only 'Category A' members, as defined under rule 3 (membership) of the PCA rules and regulations, will be eligible to contest. The entire process - including filing of nominations, scrutiny, withdrawals, polling, counting of votes and declaration of results - will be carried out as per the notified election programme.
