New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul passed away in London on Thursday evening, leaving behind a legacy in entrepreneurship and philanthropy. He was 94. Lord Paul, founder of UK-based Caparo Group of industries, had been taken ill and hospitalised recently, where he passed away surrounded by members of his family. Born in Jalandhar on February 18, 1931, he completed his high school education from Jalandhar's Labhu Ram Doaba School and BSc from Doaba College in 1949 before going to pursue his degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.
