non-teaching employees of MDU protest over pending demands
Rohtak, May 21 -- The non-teaching staff of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, have intensified their protest against vice-chancellor prof Milap Singh Poonia, alleging unnecessary delays in long-pending promotions and accusing the administration of ignoring employees' concerns.
Protesting under the banner of the Non-Teaching Employees Union, staff members gathered outside the VC office and raised slogans against the administration. Union president Suresh Kaushik said if their demands are not fulfilled they will begin an indefinite 'dharna'.
They also objected to the removal of Om Prakash Yadav from the post of Secretary to the VC, a position traditionally held by non-teaching staff since 1976.htc...
