Chandigarh, Oct. 13 -- The cabinet gave nod to framing state rules under sub-section (1) of Section 49 of the Haryana Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017. These rules also define the functions and responsibilities of the ombudsman, with a focus on protecting the rights and entitlements of children as well as persons affected by HIV, a government spokesperson said. The Haryana government will involve the private medical sector in delivering diagnostic and treatment services to HIV-positive persons.
