Chandigarh, Aug. 18 -- Carmel Convent School Sector-9 celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on August 15. The programme was attended by commander Gaurav Pant commanding officer of NCC Naval Unit Chandigarh who hoisted the National flag. The celebration commenced with a prayer dance and melodious patriotic songs by the students of Class 5. The highlight of the programme was a musical act presented by the students of Class 7 who captivated the audience. The students conveyed the powerful message of 'Unity in Diversity' and integrated India.
