MUN session at Sri Guru Harkrishan School
Chandigarh, Dec. 9 -- A Model United Nations (MUN) session by the Social Science Department of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr Sec Public School, Sector 40-C. The initiative aimed to provide students with experiential learning in diplomacy, international relations, parliamentary procedures, and collaborative problem-solving. Students participated as Delegates and Chairpersons across five committees-UNICEF, UNESCO, UNCWS, UNEP, and the Lok Sabha. Each committee engaged in formal discussions, debates, and structured proceedings based on their respective agendas. Delegates presented researched perspectives, drafted resolutions, and actively collaborated during moderated and unmoderated caucuses. The sessions witnessed participation, disciplined conduct, and a commendable display of confidence and analytical thinking by the students. The event unfolded smoothly under the guidance of the Social Science Department, with every participant contributing to the success of the simulation. The school management, member in-charge S Paramjit Singh, member in-charge S Manmohan Singh, and member in-charge S Gursharan Singh Kohli, and principal, Shama Kukkal, appreciated the Social Science Department and all participating students for their dedication and teamwork.
