Chandigarh, Oct. 14 -- Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, organised an interactive "Pause and Reflect" parenting session, conducted by principal Seema Biji, on the day of the parents-teachers meeting for parents of students of Classes 9 to 12. The session was designed to help parents understand the changes their teenage children are going through and to support them better. Seema Biji began by explaining what is happening inside a teenager: rapid physical changes that call for more sleep, food and rest, a brain in which emotions often run ahead of judgement, a search for identity and independence, the growing influence of friends and social media, and the pressure of subject and career choices. discussion centred on five needs of every child: Connection, Listening, Guidance, Boundaries and Independence. The session was highly interactive, with parents taking part in discussions and activities, sharing their own experiences and reflecting on their parenting practices. They lauded the efforts of the educators, the principal and the school management for organising a session that focused on the overall well-being of students and not on academics alone. For the students, a book fair was organised in the school from October 8th to 10th, 2026 to inculcate a love for reading....
