New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- Netflix on Tuesday informed the Delhi high court that Neeraj Pandey, producer-director of the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer upcoming film Ghooskhor Pandat, has taken a "conscious decision" to change the title, his decision coming after days of right-wing outrage and a police complaint in Uttar Pradesh. The OTT platform's lawyer, Rajiv Nayyar, submitted before a bench of justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav that the film was a reformative, fictional, police drama, and the earlier title led to unintended interruptions which did not align with the film's content. "The producer have taken a conscious decision in light of the concern that has arisen to change the title of film from 'Ghooshkhor Pandat' to an alternate title which more accurately reflects the film's narrative and intent," the court noted in its order. The petition seeking a stay on the film was filed by one Mahendra Chaturvedi, who alleged that the title defamed the Brahmin community by linking the word "Pandat" with corruption and bribery....
