Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- To promote environmental awareness and encourage students to protect nature, Lohia International school organised a tree plantation drive on July 18. It was held in the school campus. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the principal, teachers and eco club members. The event began with a special assembly where students presented skits, speeches on environmental awareness, emphasised the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and combating climate changes. Students enthusiastically participated in planting a variety of saplings around the school premises. Teachers explained the importance of trees plantation and encouraged students to care for the saplings regularly. Students along with the eco club members took a pledge to protect the environment by planting more trees and reducing pollution. The tree plantation was a great success. It not only beautified the school campus but also inspired students to become a responsible citizens and contribute towards a greener and healthier future....
