Chandigarh, Aug. 11 -- Under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chandigarh Region, the cluster-level Rashtriya Ekta Parv-2026 was organised with great enthusiasm, grandeur, and dignity on 6th and 7th August 2026 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector 47. Around 500 students from 12 Kendriya Vidyalayas of the Chandigarh cluster participated in the two-day event and showcased their exceptional talent. The programme commenced on August 6 with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp tributes before the idol of Goddess Saraswati. On this occasion, the chief guest, Anurag Bhatnagar, deputy commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chandigarh Region, the guest of honour, RC Sharma, assistant commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chandigarh Region, and other distinguished guests, including Shyam Chawla, retired assistant commissioner, along with the principals of various Kendriya Vidyalayas under the Chandigarh cluster, attended the event. The dignitaries were welcomed by Virendra Singh, Principal of the host school, Smt. Sunita Rani, Vice Principal, and Shri Satish Chandra Jangir, Vice Principal (Second Shift). Welcoming all the dignitaries and participants, Shri Virendra Singh, principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector 47, Chandigarh, stated that the Rashtriya Ekta Parv (National Integration Festival) serves as a powerful platform for bringing together the diverse languages, cultures, arts, and traditions of India.
