Ludhiana, Aug. 13 -- Under the guidance of principal Vandana Shahi and in the esteemed presence of architect Sanjay Goyal, an inter-school vedic mantra chanting competition was organised by the Veda Prachar Mandal Punjab at BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri. The ceremony was presided over by principal Sandeep Channa, Kamla Lohtia SD College, Ludhiana. Gaurav Sareen, secretary, Arya College, and Sanjay Virmani, Prachar Mantri, Arya Samaj, Aggar Nagar, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Karmveer Gulati and Vikas Batra from Arya Samaj, Dugri initiated the competition by conducting the draw and distributing badges to the participants. A total of 166 students from 13 schools of Ludhiana participated in the competition. The students beautifully chanted Vedic mantras and presented their meanings in the form of musical recitations, leaving the audience spellbound. They also presented the messages of the mantras in a concise and meaningful manner. Ambuj Mala, Antima Dhupad, and Anamika served as the judges. The chief guest, Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, special member, NCDR, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, along with other distinguished guests, were warmly welcomed by Roshan Lal Arya, Bobby Malhotra, Satish Sharma, Atul Dhawan, and other office bearers of the mandal.
