Ferozepur, Sept. 27 -- Police on Saturday arrested an inspector attached to the counter-intelligence unit in Faridkot after recovering 3.35 kg of heroin, six illegal pistols, and live ammunition from his vehicle in Ferozepur. SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu confirmed the arrest, identifying the officer as inspector Baldev Singh. Acting on specific intelligence regarding the movement of narcotics and illegal arms, a police team intercepted the accused near the Ferozeshah-Moga road toll plaza.
