Immunisation programme held at Shishu Niketan School
Mohali, June 3 -- Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Routine immunisation and prevention of diseases was conducted by Dispensary Behlolpur at Shishu Niketan Public School, Behlolpur.
Resident medical officer Dr Kirandeep said that Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP) of India is one of the largest public health programmes in the world.
It has helped millions of children in leading a healthy life, free from the risks of many life-threatening diseases.
Dr B R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Mohali interns Dr Amrit Singh, Dr Anant Ram, Dr Antima Jain, Dr Brisha Verma and Dr Armaan Preet Singh delivered a health lecture on routine immunisation briefly with the history of vaccination, National Immunisation Schedule (NIS), and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD).
