Banur, Aug. 22 -- Holy Mary's School celebrated Independence Day. The programme began with the flag hoisting by the director C C Devassy followed by the National Anthem sung in unison by students and staff. A march past by the school houses set the tone for the celebrations. The highlight of the day was the inter-house skit competition, where students beautifully portrayed the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, reminding everyone of the lives laid down for the freedom we enjoy today. The director urged students to remember their duty towards the nation and inspired them to grow into responsible citizens. The celebrations concluded with the announcement of winners....
