Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- The Guru Nanak Gitaa Kailash Memorial Foundation has launched a special monsoon health awareness campaign toprotect the health of children, daily wage workers, and women living in slum communities during the rainy season. The primary objective of thisinitiative is to create awareness and help prevent life-threatening diseases such as dengue, malaria, typhoid, and cholera, which tend to spread rapidly during the monsoon. As part of the campaign, thefoundation distributed 250 umbrellas, 500 tubes of odomos mosquito repellent cream, and 200 waterbottles to ensure access to safe drinking water for underprivileged children and workers. The campaign was led by Santosh Kumar, department of urology, PGIMER, who emphasised the importance of preventive healthcare during the monsoon.
