Govt Model High School celebrates jamun day event
Chandigarh, July 13 -- Government Model High School (GMHS), Pocket 8, Manimajra, celebrated Jamun day with great enthusiasm under the leadership of headmistress Indu Babbar. The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and distinguished guest Rahul Mahajan, founder of the organic sharing foundation.
The celebration aimed to promote awareness about the nutritional benefits of jamun and encourage healthy eating habits among children. Students and staff members added vibrancy to the occasion by wearing 'theme-based dresses' in shades of purple and green, reflecting the colours of the jamun fruit.
Addressing the gathering, headmistress Indu Babbar highlighted the importance of indigenous fruits like jamun in maintaining good health and preserving the environment. She appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for making the event informative and engaging.
