Founder's day held at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate School
Chandigarh, Feb. 10 -- Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, celebrated its 36th Founder's Day with great zest and religious fervor. As per the school's tradition, Akhand Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was observed from February 5 to 7, 2026.
Kirtan Darbar was held on the evenings of February 5 and 6. On 7 February, the Jathedar Harpal Singh was invited as the chief guest, who preached moral values to the students.
The school students recited Shabad Kirtan on this occasion. Bhai Karaj Singh, Hazoori Ragi, Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, presented mesmerizing Kirtan that enthralled the audience.
A multi-purpose hall, named after Sahibzada Ajit Singh, the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh, was inaugurated by S Gurdev Singh Brar, president, Sikh Educational Society, along with other management members and principal Amanpreet Kaur.
The function was attended by parents and students, who prayed for the success of students appearing in board exams.
The celebratory function concluded with Ardaas, followed by Guru ka Langar....
