Mohali, Oct. 31 -- Doon International School hosted the 'Mothers Against Drugs' campaign to create awareness about early detection of drug abuse among children. The event was a part of the state outreach programme of 'The Punjab Lit Foundation', a non-profit organisation co-founded by literary luminary and social crusader, Khushwant Singh and Sanna Kaushal, media advisor to the National Commission for Women. Valuable inputs in this regard were also shared in an online session with Gaurav Gill, a body language and behavioural expert. Recognising the pivotal role played by mothers in the upbringing of their children and the close bond they share with them, it was emphasised that the mothers take on the responsibility of keeping a vigilant eye on their children and investigating any noticeable changes in their behaviour patterns. The session was well attended by principals and teachers from institutions. Both fathers and mothers turned out in large numbers making the event a grand success.
