Panchkula, April 20 -- To mark respect and observe the 162nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj, the students of DAV -8 Panchkula participated with great reverence. Various activities were performed to give a heartfelt tribute to the great saint who is said to be the pillar of DAV culture. A special havan ceremony was performed by the students of classes 3 to 7 under the supervision of their vedic mentor Sangeeta Rani to mark the occasion. Mahatma Hansraj's qualities of selfless service, simplicity, dedication, and commitment to education were highlighted by their mentors. The other students recited poems and made posters on the life of Mahatma. The event was a symbol of profound gesture towards the saint. His teachings have moulded the very meaning of life and its lessons.
