India, Sept. 4 -- The Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl qualifiers in Jalandhar turned out to be a high-octane affair on Tuesday, with DAV College team emerging as the winner. UBA Sangrur team, meanwhile, finished as the runner-up, and both teams will now take their spots at the Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl national finals, which will be held on September 20. The Jalandhar qualifier of Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl was held at NIT Jalandhar. The DAV College team comprised Paras, Anmoldeep Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Taran Singh, Mohit Kumar and Manjot Singh. The UBA Sangrur team consisted of Ansh Goyal, Gurfateh Singh Mann, Daksh Dhamija, Om Shivhare and Jashan Kumar. The judges for the Jalandhar qualifiers were Akanksha Sharma, Kunwar Saheb Singh and Sahaj Singh. Red Bull Bhangra Brrrawl brings the energy of grassroots street performances to a national stage. The competition began with online qualifiers, where bhangra crews of three to six members, aged 16 and above, submitted original three-minute group performance videos. The shortlisted teams then competed in city-level qualifiers. The first round of the city qualifiers is the quarter-final. The top four teams from the quarter-finals will advance to the second round, and dance on the dhol beats performed by the DJ.
