India, Feb. 9 -- Love finds many expressions, and for Radhikka Madan, chocolate has always been one of them. On Chocolate Day today, the actor reflects on how the indulgent sweet has been a constant in her life, woven into memories both personal and shared. "Chocolates have always been the meetha before any shubh kaam in my life," says the actor known for films such as Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2018) and Angrezi Medium (2020). She adds, "My mother would give me a piece of chocolate before every school test, and that habit stayed with me." For Radhikka, chocolate has also been a quiet way of expressing feelings when words fall short. "In school, if someone liked someone, they would just give them a chocolate," she says. "Whenever you're scared, anxious, or don't know what to say, chocolate becomes an easy way to express that emotion." Her taste, she adds, has changed over the years. "Earlier it was fruit and nut. Now it's mostly 70 or 85% dark chocolate." Some of her strongest chocolate memories are linked not to partners, but to friendships. "My best friends Aditi and Manvi have been with me since seventh grade. We weren't dating anyone back then, so we had each other. We would take each other out to cafes and gift roses or chocolates, just to make each other feel special. We were each other's Valentines," she says. As Valentine's Day approaches, Radhikka says her idea of love has evolved. "Earlier it was all butterflies. Now it's more about peace, and about someone showing up for you rather than saying the right things," she says, adding, "My perfect Valentine's Day gift would be a handwritten letter with golgappas and papdi chaat." The actor will soon be seen in Lust Stories 3, among several other projects. Asked how she views love and lust, she says the two are closely linked for her. "I know they're different emotions, but in my life, lust has always come from love. Maybe I'm old school that way. It's always followed love, never the other way around."...
