Chandigarh, April 11 -- The UT municipal corporation(MC) has stepped up efforts to strengthen the city's cleanliness framework through a review meeting, chaired by MC commissioner Amit Kumar, to assess existing practices and accelerate the implementation of these reforms. The meeting was attended by joint commissioner Himanshu Gupta, medical officer of health Dr Inderdeep Kaur, and other senior officials. During the deliberations, a comprehensive review of the sanitation system was undertaken, with a focus on streamlining door-to-door waste collection, enforcing segregation at source, and ensuring timely lifting and scientific disposal ofgarbage across all sectors.
