Panchkula, Sept. 1 -- Chaman Lal DAV Senior Public School, Sector 11 organised a two-day CBSE workshop on mathematics for elementary classes, conducted by the resource persons Amandeep Kaur and Jyoti Bhagat. The workshop aimed to enrich teachers' understanding of innovative, creative and child-centred approaches for making mathematics meaningful and joyful for young learners. The first day focused on common challenges and errors in mathematics, learning outcomes, creative pedagogies and creative assessment. The second day began with a recap of the key learnings from day 1 and focused on development of mathematical vocabulary, creative pedagogies (part 2), questioning skills and recreational mathematics. The sessions highlighted the importance of mathematical language, purposeful questioning, puzzles, games and engaging activities. Teachers explored innovative ways to make mathematics interactive, experiential and enjoyable.
