Celina served legal notices by estranged husband amid divorce battle
India, June 1 -- A
new development has emerged in the dispute between actor Celina Jaitly and her estranged husband, Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag. Two legal notices have been issued to the actor on behalf of Peter and his father, DI Wolfgang J. Haag, Mumbai-based law firm Semwal & Co. confirmed.
The notices accuse Celina of making "false, defamatory, misleading, and sensationalised" statements in public amid the couple's ongoing matrimonial and custody battle. The move comes weeks after an FIR was reportedly filed against Peter in Mumbai over allegations of domestic violence, intimidation and harassment made by Celina.
According to the notices, the family believes the allegations have harmed their reputation and could affect ongoing proceedings in Austria. A key concern raised in the notices is the public discussion of the couple's children, which they state has subjected them to unnecessary public scrutiny during a sensitive legal dispute.
The notices reportedly seek the removal of allegedly defamatory content, restraint from further public statements, as well as a public clarification and an apology. They further state that if the demands are not met, Peter and his family reserve the right to initiate civil and criminal proceedings.
When contacted, Celina's legal team said an official statement would be issued in due course and declined to comment further.HTC...
