Chandigarh, April 12 -- The Punjab cabinet on Saturday cleared a stringent amendment to the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Act, 2008, introducing life imprisonment to ensure strict punishment for "beadbi" (sacrilege).
