Blue Bird High School honours Indian mathematician Ramanujan
Panchkula, Dec. 23 -- Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula marked National Mathematics Day on December 22 to honour the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The school conducted a week-long series of activities designed to foster creativity, problem-solving skills and a passion for the subject across all grade levels.
Key highlights of the celebration included various activities like interactive mathematical floor games for the students of Kindergarten, multidisciplinary sessions for identifying and describing mathematical shapes for the students of Classes 1 to 3. Students of Classes 3 to 6 brought geometry to life featuring the "Maths in Yoga" and demonstrated various geometric angles through yoga poses.
Middle and senior school students competed in math quizzes, puzzles, and logic-based games to sharpen their critical thinking and teamwork. Principal Vandna Bhatnagar emphasised that building a strong mathematical foundation from the early years is essential, The event successfully combined academic rigor with enthusiasm, reinforcing the school's commitment to excellence in STEM education....
