Panchkula, Oct. 24 -- Deepavali, the festival of lights, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, emphasising its significance as a symbol of the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. The celebrations featured a variety of creative and cultural activities, beginning with Rangoli making, where students showcased their artistic skills with colourful patterns. Diya crafting using paper engaged students in eco-friendly artistry, while paper lanterns added charm and festivity to the ambience. The door hanging torans and Shubh Labh hangings highlighted traditional decor, enhancing the celebratory spirit. Furthermore, pairs of T-light candles were arranged symbolising illumination and positivity. The school principal Vandna while addressing the students underlined the importance of celebrating a Green Diwali to protect the environment. She urged everyone to avoid firecrackers, reduce pollution and use sustainable materials in their decorations.
