Bhavan Vidyalaya hosts CBSE capacity building workshop
Panchkula, Aug. 10 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya organised a CBSE capacity building workshop on 'Storytelling as a Pedagogy' on August 8. The workshop aimed to equip educators with innovative teaching methodologies by integrating storytelling into the teaching-learning process, thereby making classroom instruction more engaging, meaningful and learner-centric.
The workshop was conducted by CBSE resource persons Neha Kashyap and Eesha Mor. Neha Kashyap, an alumnus of St Luke's and St Bede's, is a distinguished educationist with over two decades of experience in the field of education and is specialised in teaching english and psychology.
She currently leads St Mary's School, Chandigarh and has empowered more than 10,000 teachers nationwide through her expertise. Eesha Mor is an accomplished english educator with a Master's degree in english literature from Panjab University. She is associated with the Akanksha Foundation/Teach For India, where she contributes to community- based educational initiatives for underprivileged learners.
The resource persons shared valuable insights into the power of storytelling as an effective pedagogical tool. Through interactive discussions and engaging activities, the participants explored how stories can enhance critical thinking, communication skills and emotional intelligence among students while fostering deeper understanding across various subjects.
Emphasis was laid on designing meaningful learning experiences by integrating stories into lesson planning and experiential learning practices in alignment with the objectives of the national education policy (NEP) 2020.
