Bhavan Vidyalaya holds installation event of Interact, Early Act Clubs
New Chandigarh, Aug. 14 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya celebrated the installation ceremony of its Interact and Early Act Clubs, marking a significant milestone in the school's ongoing dedication to nurturing student leaders committed to service and community welfare.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of RK Saboo, chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra and Past Rotary International president, chief guests Rtn Abha Joshi Sharma, president of Rotary Club Chandigarh, and Rtn, Sonia Salaria, president of Rotary Club New Chandigarh; and guest of honour Rtn Jatinder Kumar Kapur, district Interact Chair 2025-26. Also in attendance were Madhukar Malhotra, secretary of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra; Vineeta Arora, director (education) and senior principal; Inderpreet Kaur, principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh; alongside Rotarians and guests.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the illumination of young minds poised to lead with integrity and empathy. The occasion featured a semi-classical dance performed by the Interactors and Early Actors, followed by a medley, 'Be the Change' by the school choir celebrating Rotary's core value of "Service Above Self."
A highlight of the event was the Annual Report delivered by the former Interact Club president, Malvika Raj Negi, who eloquently outlined the club's impactful initiatives over the past year, ranging from educational outreach and environmental drives to community service projects that have left a meaningful mark on society. The installation ceremony also witnessed the formal investiture of the office bearers of the current clubs. Simranpreet, the newly appointed president of the Interact Club pledged to uphold the principles of leadership, service and community engagement.
Adding a personal touch to the celebration, attendees joined in wishing Saboo a joyous 91st birthday, honouring his visionary leadership and lifelong dedication to education and humanitarian service....
