Beatles biopic stars step onto the iconic Abbey Road crossing

he Beatles are back on Abbey Road... at least on screen. Actors Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan and Harris Dickinson were spotted filming in London on Sunday as they recreated the Beatles' iconic 1969 Abbey Road album cover at the original zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios.
The four actors star as Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Lennon, respectively, in director Sam Mendes' The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event. Each film will tell the band's story from one member's perspective, with all four slated for release in April 2028.
The project is the first scripted Beatles film to have full access to the band's life stories and music. Farhan Akhtar is also part of the ensemble as sitar legend Ravi Shankar.
The original Abbey Road cover was shot on August 8, 1969, in just about 10 minutes, with photographer Iain Macmillan standing on a stepladder as a policeman briefly stopped traffic. Only six photographs were taken; the fifth became the iconic cover. It was the first Beatles album cover to feature neither the band's name nor the album title.HTC...
