Ludhiana, May 7 -- Students of science stream of BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri Road, Ludhiana presented an intellectually woven and emotionally compelling class presentation titled 'Aavahan - A Call for a Sustainable Future', sensitising the audience towards the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through music, drama, poetry, dance, and thought-provoking performances. The programme reflected the urgent need for environmental consciousness, social justice, equality, and responsible living. The self-written and self-composed song "Ujjiara - Ek Naya Savera" conveyed hope for sustainable communities while an informative talk on SDGs highlighted the interconnectedness of quality education, gender equality, clean energy, justice, and environmental protection. The skit "Justice Delayed is Justice Denied" strongly portrayed the importance of fairness and strong institutions, reflecting SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Adding emotional depth, a soulful self-composed poetry recitation echoed concerns about sustainability. The dance performance "Pankh - Wings of Women" beautifully celebrated women empowerment and gender equality, while the musical presentation "Safar-e-Zindagi" reinforced the values of harmony, unity, and coexistence. Blending humour with awareness, the skit "Gabbar Singh ka Sustainable Hungama" creatively highlighted issues like pollution, plastic waste, and irresponsible human practices, leaving the audience both entertained and thoughtful.
