Banyan Tree hosts TEDxYouth event to inspire young minds
Chandigarh, Feb. 17 -- Banyan Tree School, Chandigarh, proudly hosted TEDxYouth@BanyanTreeSchool at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, the event, themed "independent minds shape the future," brought together eminent dignitaries, educators, students, parents, and thinkers for a morning of inspiration, innovation, and meaningful dialogue.
The event featured an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers. Amit Gupta (PCS), SDM, Dera Bassi, shared valuable insights on leadership, governance, and responsibility. Vibha Handa (IRS), assistant commissioner (GST), Panchkula, Haryana, inspired students with her journey of perseverance, discipline, and dedication to public service.
Dipica Rohilla, school coordinator, Banyan Tree School, delivered an impactful address highlighting the importance of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and lifelong learning in shaping confident and compassionate individuals. Maj Gen AK Shori (retd), author, social thinker, and passionate learner, captivated the audience with his reflections on discipline, resilience, and values. Nidhi Arora (UKCS), review officer, Uttarakhand secretariat, Dehradun, motivated students with her experiences in administration, encouraging them to remain focused, confident, and purpose-driven.
The event also featured a cultural performance by Bharat Gupta, student performer and young cultural ambassador of India.
In the opening address, the director of Banyan Tree School, Jayeta Auddy, emphasised the importance of nurturing independent thinking and providing platforms that empower students to express, explore, and excel.
