Ludhiana, Oct. 25 -- The food safety wing of the health department seized 4,215kg of suspected adulterated desi ghee and destroyed 675kg of expired stock during a raid at a factory in Kailash Nagar on Saturday.The team, led by civil surgeon Ramandeep Kaur, recovered 135kg of branded ghee bearing labels of Sartaj, Dayal and Dairy Farm, besides 3,405kg of loose ghee. It also inspected the factory's packaging, labelling, expiry dates and storage arrangements. Five samples of ghee and one of mustard oil were collected and sent to a government laboratory for testing.
