Visitors flock to Louvre to glimpse the 'broken window' spectacle
India, Oct. 25 -- The Louvre has a new, albeit temporary, point of interest. The Louvre reopened on Wednesday, and unsurprisingly, long queues stretched around the Cour Napoleon as visitors eagerly awaited entry to see the 33,000 sculptures, paintings, and other art on display. However, an even livelier crowd had gathered across the busy Quai Francois Mitterrand, right beside the river. Instead of waiting for the main entrance, these onlookers were staring up at a tall window on the museum's facade, partially obscured by black drapes-the very spot where the audacious thieves made their escape....
