India, Aug. 12 -- From providing aftercare for youth leaving orphanages across India to promoting organic farming among tribal families in Karnataka, and from advancing inclusion for persons with intellectual disabilities to fighting anaemia among mothers and children in Tamil Nadu, changemakers from small non-profits spend months working on the frontlines of some of India's most pressing issues. Yet, many of these organisations struggle to get noticed by those who have the power to fund them. Now, select NGOs will get a chance to present virtual pitches to a live audience via YouTube. The catch? Each pitch will last just five minutes. Social Venture Partners India (SVP India) is back with its annual flagship virtual event, Fast Pitch, which aims to help non-profits become more visible, investment-ready and scalable through storytelling coaching and institutional strengthening. Out of hundreds of NGO applications, 10 non-profit leaders have been selected after thorough on-ground vetting of their work by Give India. They have undergone training in pitching and storytelling to help sharpen their message, refine their operations and learn how to present their work confidently to the world. The idea is to connect them with a growing community of engaged givers, corporate leaders and everyday citizens keen to make a difference. Over the past four years, 46 non-profits have taken the stage, sharing their journeys with nearly 10,000 live viewers and raising over Rs.22.4 crore in support from individuals, corporate leaders and philanthropists. Now in its fifth edition, Fast Pitch will feature organisations working across areas such as education, healthcare, youth empowerment, sustainable agriculture, women's empowerment and disability inclusion. Alongside online viewers, their pitches will be heard by a jury of business leaders Ronnie Screwala, Mahesh Yagnaraman and Geeta Goel.
