My body was exposed without consent, says viral girl from Honey Singh's Mumbai concert
India, April 10 -- R
apper-singer Yo Yo Honey Singh's concert in Mumbai on March 28 grabbed attention after a video surfaced showing a young girl climbing over a gate when she was denied entry. The girl, identified as Roohi, has now shared her side of the story in an Instagram post.
In a video (inset above) shared on Wednesday, Roohi apologised for her actions, saying it happened in the heat of the moment. She claimed she had a valid ticket for the fan pit but was made to wait for over 45 minutes, which she found difficult as an anxiety patient.
"I climbed, thinking that, being a girl, they would open the gates. After two minutes, they opened the gate for all of us," she said, adding that the circulating video violated her privacy. "It was circulated all over the internet, where my private body was unintentionally exposed without my consent. And that is a crime," she said.
She further added, "And I honestly feel this must have happened to so many of us, wherein some sort of content is posted online which we do not want, but there is no way to take it down unless you know you are a powerful man. I felt helpless."
Honey Singh had earlier called her a "sherni" in a video he shared after the concert, and Roohi expressed gratitude for the gesture. "When Honey Singh himself posted the story saying, sherni fan of mine, I felt a little relieved that, okay, there are people who are looking at it in a decent way who are actually supporting me," she shared.
She also urged authorities that if a video is posted online without consent, "it should be removed with immediate effect"....
