Mumbai's Ganpati is grand, but Delhi's Diwali is dazzling: Taahir
India, Oct. 29 -- Mumbai has been home to actor Taahir Raj Bhasin for nearly two decades, ever since he moved from Delhi at 23 to pursue a career in films. While the city has shaped his journey as an actor, it has also taught him a valuable lesson: patience. Recalling his early days in Mumbai, when he expected projects to move much faster, he says, "When you shoot a project, it often takes months for it to be edited, go through post-production and colour, and then release. Patience is something that you learn with time in this industry."

If I'm not shooting, my preference is always to be in Delhi for Diwali because that vibe is unmatched anywhere in the world," he says.
What he misses most are the Diwali card parties back home. "My favourite Diwali memory, and this only Delhi people will understand, are the card parties. They start 15 days before Diwali. So I'm already getting FOMO because I have messages from friends inviting me to their card parties," he says.
Whenever he returns to Delhi, Bhasin enjoys revisiting his old haunts, from Humayun's Tomb and Lodhi Garden to Khan Market. "My generation is the sort of pre-malls generation, where we were really used to using public spaces to hang out," he recalls. His ideal day in the Capital would begin with a jog at Lodhi Garden, followed by breakfast in Defence Colony, gelato and rolls at Khan Market, and a visit to Sunder Nursery and Hauz Khas Village.
On the work front, Bhasin is keen to explore lighter roles, particularly slice-of-life and comedy dramas, as well as detective stories. "It is an artist's job to take risks, and I enjoy telling clutter-breaking stories," he says....
